TechXtend, an IT solution provider specializing in the areas of security, virtualization, disaster recovery, and datacenter infrastructure, invites members of the higher education community to a Feb. 10, 2017 educational seminar on “Physical Security in the Education Space.” The learning session, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., includes lunch and will take place at TechXtend corporate offices in Eatontown, NJ.
Partnering with TechXtend for this instructional session is Bosch Security Systems. In reaction to recent nationwide school incidents and threats, both Bosch and TechXtend determined a need among security professionals at educational institutions for proactive rather than reactive strategies.
Some key issues to be discussed include:
- Campus security: defending against burglary, vandalism, and trespassing.
- Student/Employee Safety: Situational awareness of the student population as well as non-students on campus and controlling ingress/egress.
- Student/Employee Management: Identifying trouble areas and activities as a means of enhanced control with less personnel.
- ROI: Longevity of equipment and technology, ability to leverage existing equipment, reduction of failure risk, and easy proof migration path.
