Jennifer Keyes-Maloney has been named executive director of the New Jersey Association of State Colleges and Universities.
“We are thrilled to welcome Jennifer Keyes-Maloney as the new Executive Director of NJASCU,” said AJ Sabath, the NJASCU Board of Trustees chairman. “Her extensive experience in government relations, coupled with her proven track record of advocacy and leadership, make her the ideal candidate to lead our association into the future.”
A three-term Ewing councilwoman and former assistant state treasurer, Keyes-Maloney had been serving as associate vice for government relations at the College of New Jersey. She had previously served as legislative liaison for the New Jersey Judiciary.
“I am deeply committed to advancing the vital role of public higher education in New Jersey, especially as we continue to focus on policies that enhance access, affordability, and excellence. I look forward to collaborating with our member institutions to address the opportunities and challenges facing our higher education system.”
Keyes-Maloney is the vice chair of the Mercer County Democratic organization. She became a candidate for Mercer County Freeholder in a September 2018 special election after Anthony Verrelli resigned to take his seat in the State Assembly – Verrelli replaced Reed Gusciora, who was elected mayor of Trenton – but withdrew before the vote.
